Below you will find some information that we have added to the site based on feedback we have received and questions that we are often asked by clients when making a booking or at the salon.
I have a health condition, does this effect what treatments I can receive?
Please notify the receptionist dealing with your booking if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have allergies, a skin complaint, high blood pressure, any physical ailments and disabilities or if you are seriously or terminally ill. All clients are dealt with on an individual basis using our knowledge and experience. During your treatment, please let us know how you are feeling and if there are any specific areas or problems you would like your therapist to address. It is the clients responsibility to ensure the therapist is made aware of any current or previous medical conditions which may prohibit the use of various products or treatment techniques prior to the commencement of treatment. We suggest talking to your doctor if you have specific concerns that may be outside our scope of expertise.
My appointment is at 10am, what time would you like me to arrive?
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time to complete a consultation form. all appointments will end at their scheduled time, so that the next client is not delayed. Late appointments may not be honoured and the full price of treatment will apply.
Are you a mobile-free zone?
We kindly ask you to switch off your mobile when you visit us. Hidden Beauty provides clients with a calm and relaxing enviroment in which they can unwind and truly enjoy their treatment, and we feel the disconnecting from your texts, e-mails and calls for an hour is a great way to contribute to that atmosphere.
I tried calling but there was no answer?
Please note that a reception message service may be used during treatments, at busy times, and also out of our normal working hours. Please leave your name and number and we will respond to your enquiry as quickly as possible.
Where should I park my car?
There is street parking all along the road which has a one hour limit (be sure to get a parking disc and leave it with your arrival time on the dashboard of your car). For longer treatments & if you have other things to do in Ambleside, the closest pay & display car park is a two minute walk away on Kelsick Road, opposite the public library (please note this car park is closed on Wednesdays for the market).
What is your cancellation & rebooking policy?
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, will be charged 100% of the service value.
- Note: All no-show appointments will be charged 100% of the service value.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal items during your visit to us, and suggest that you please leave valuables at home.
